A Word About Digital Default | Posted By: digitaldefault Date: May 27, 2008, 1:06 pm | | Well, I am sure most of you dont know anything about the background of Digital Default. I decided it would be a good time to tell all of you a little about it.
First off, my name is Tim and I am a freelance photographer and programmer. I also hold a paying job as a senior field engineer for a major automation and logistics company. During my travels with the company I spent many long months developing and coding this website into what you see it as today. I wanted to combine my two hobbies into something everyone could enjoy.
Back in August of 2007 I started working on the Digital Default concept. I spent many late nights developing it's functionality and setting up an easy to use interface. After about 200 cups of coffee and three months I was finished with the "beta" version. Up until recently I left the site untouched and allowed people to submit their own work. Just a few days ago I was feeling a bit bored with the old layout so I decided to give it a face lift.
Either way, everything you look at on this page represents my passion and desire to create an online community of people who are as enthusiastic about digital art and photography as I am. That and I wanted to get rid of standard boring wallpaper...
I hope you find the website enjoyable, there will be many more updates to come as I continue obsessing over this site.

The New Look | Posted By: digitaldefault Date: May 25, 2008, 8:56 pm | | Well... The new look is here, it has taken a while to put it all together but I think this new style is much more fluid and much easier to navigate. I hope this new design will inspire some of you to help expand our community by contributing your own designs.
I am working on adding some new functionality that will poke its way through the site eventually. Until then please enjoy the site and let me know of any suggestions you may have.
Until the next time, keep those high res wallpapers coming!

A break from the wallpaper | Posted By: digitaldefault Date: May 20, 2008, 8:27 pm | | | I have been away for a while developing some other projects. Now that I have some free time on my hands I can get back to my true hobby here at Digital Default. We have grown to over 600 members and we have several artists that have submitted their work. I want to thank everyone who has helped Digital Default grow into the wallpaper community it is today. | | |
